The abbreviations for printing indicate the colorfulness of the print:

• 4+0 - single-sided color print
• 4+4 - double-sided color print
• 4+1 - one side color, the other one monochrome (black)
• 1+0 - single-sided monochrome print (black)
• 1+1 - double-sided monochrome print (black)

The CMYK color model is used in printing. To achieve a certain color, three primary colors are mixed:
"Cyan" - light blue, "Magenta" - purple, "Yellow" - yellow. The darkness and brightness are regulated by "Key" - black.

In color printing, all four colors are used; in monochrome, only black.

To achieve a deep black color on the background, full-color printing can be used. In this case, the black color should be modeled with the following parameters: C 50 / M 50 / Y 50 / K 100. If only text is printed, it should be modeled with the following parameters: C 0 / M 0 / Y 0 / K 100.
